Noida’s Jungle Trail: A Wildlife Wonder Crafted from Scrap Metal Set to Open Next Month

A unique wildlife-themed park, the Jungle Trail, is gearing up to open its gates to visitors next month as part of Noida’s Waste-to-Wonder Park project. The trail, featuring over 700 life-sized animal sculptures made entirely from scrap metal, is scheduled for a trial run starting June 25, with its official inauguration expected in early July.

A Vision Turned Reality: The Making of Jungle Trail

Constructed at an estimated cost of ₹22 crore, the Jungle Trail has been developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Noida Authority in collaboration with Z-Tech, a private company known for creating similar parks in Lucknow, such as UP Darshan Park and Happiness Park.

Anand Mohan Singh, Deputy Director (Horticulture) of Noida Authority, revealed that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be invited to inaugurate the park.

Four Themed Zones for an Immersive Wildlife Experience

The park is divided into four distinct zones, each offering a unique wildlife experience:

1. African Savannah – Featuring elephants, lions, and giraffes.

2. Asian Jungles – Showcasing tigers, deer, and exotic birds.

3. Australian Outback – Highlighting kangaroos and emus.

4. Polar Regions – Displaying penguins and polar bears.

Each sculpture has been meticulously crafted using discarded metal scraps, including nuts, bolts, rods, chains, and fuel tanks, reinforcing the park’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

A Night Safari Like No Other

One of the park’s standout attractions is the Night Jungle Safari, where illuminated sculptures and ambient lighting create a realistic jungle atmosphere.

Isha Chaudhary, Vice-President of Z-Tech, explained, “Every sculpture, piece of furniture, gazebo, and lighting fixture has been made using recycled materials. This project aligns with the Swachh Bharat Mission, promoting waste reuse and environmental conservation.”

Nearly 500 tonnes of scrap iron have been repurposed into stunning artworks, transforming waste into a visual spectacle.

Final Touches Before the Grand Opening

While most of the construction is complete, work on the main entrance gate, cafeteria, and final paintwork is still underway. Once finished, the park is expected to become a major tourist hotspot in the Delhi-NCR region.

Eco-Tourism Meets Art: A Step Towards Sustainability

The Jungle Trail is more than just a tourist attraction—it’s a statement on sustainability. By repurposing industrial waste into art, the park serves as an educational hub for environmental awareness.

Similar initiatives, like Delhi’s Waste-to-Wonder Park (which features the Seven Wonders of the World made from scrap), have already gained popularity. Noida’s Jungle Trail aims to replicate this success while offering a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience.
