Tour Itinerary and Planning

According to Goa Tourism Director Kedar Naik, tourists will visit four temples per day, completing the entire circuit in two to three days. The itinerary will also include visits to nearby tourist attractions, ensuring a well-rounded travel experience.

Collaboration with Temple Committees

A meeting was held with representatives from all 11 temples to discuss the pilgrimage circuit’s promotion and address coordination challenges. The temple committees have welcomed the initiative and offered suggestions to maintain the spiritual sanctity of the sites while accommodating tourists.

Ensuring Spiritual Sanctity and Visitor Management

The temple committees emphasized the need for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to regulate tourist behavior. They also recommended careful scheduling of visits to avoid clashes with temple festivals (utsavs).

Addressing Logistical Challenges

Parking and traffic management were identified as major concerns, especially when large tourist vehicles arrive. The committees urged the tourism department to implement site-specific solutions to prevent congestion and ensure smooth visitor movement.

A Holistic Travel Experience

Kedar Naik described 'Ekadasha Teertha Yatra' as more than just a tourism product—it is a journey of spiritual immersion, local engagement, and cultural preservation. The initiative aims to provide visitors with a meaningful and respectful experience while preserving Goa’s heritage.
